Excursion from Marrakech to Ourika Valley

This is a popular day trip from Marrakech following the valley which cuts deep into the High Atlas through to Setti Fatma. The area around Marrakech is famous for Argan Oil, which is endemic to this area; the Argan trees only grow in this part of Morocco. The Argan fruit is similar to the olive, and, as with olives the fruit is pressed to extract the oil which is credited with an extraordinary range of properties, and can be processed into a wide variety of skin products. The excursion is a good introduction to the mountain regions, particularly for those who do not wish to travel all the way across the mountains. Escape from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and delve into the lush Ourika Valley to enjoy an oasis of greenery. Accompanied by an expert English-speaking guide, get lost in the incredible scenery, discover fascinating waterfalls, and experience the small traditional villages of the area. In addition to enjoying a panoramic view from the mountain, you can taste delicious Moroccan cuisine at Setti Fatma.
